Our libraries are community hubs for lifelong learning and literacy, as well as a space for imagination and relaxation and we are focused on how we can meet our community’s needs in the future. About this role| Kō tēnei tūranga mahi We are looking for a Community Connections Librarian who can build and maintain connection with the wider community through the development, implementation and marketing of programmes and services. A day in your work life looks like: Coordinating Libraries’ communications – promotion and marketing of programmes, events and services through a range of channels: social media, newsletters, posters etc. Developing and implementing community focused programmes and services such as Adult Learners Month, Quiet Hour, Tuku/ Heritage month programme and one-off events. Partner with community organizations to identify opportunities for collaboration. Provide frontline customer service as rostered. To ensure you maintain strong connections with our customers, you will get to spend time within our libraries as part of a service delivery roster and deliver a range of programmes.
